Element Indoor Ride Training Series Fall 2023

This session has wrapped up for 2023 and we want to thank all of the participants for dropping by. We'll see you all in 2024!=. The work continues.

Back for Fall 2023:  Achievement Challenges, Points & Prizes

Shorter days and colder temperatures have always signalled the end of our outdoor ride season but it is also the beginning of the indoor ride season.  This is the time of year when you start to build your base for your next race season and you can get the most out of the indoor season by training with focus, purpose and consistency.  Then, the New Year rolls around and the outdoor ride season starts to loom on the horizon. Suddenly, it's time to get more serious about training. Coached bike workouts take the guesswork out of it for you:  all you need to do is show up and do the work.  Join us and start to build your base for this season and here's why: we think that training with purpose can also be fun.  We'll be putting some "fun" into fundamentals.   And just in cast you are intrigued by the idea of points & prizes, this is going to be just like the tv shows "Whose Line Is It Anyway" where the points and prizes don't mean anything. But, it just seems nice to have a goal so we thought we'd run with it.

Training Will Be Fun

You can have  fun and get fitter at the same time (and that's the real prize, isn't it?).

We will continue offering our indoor rides on Zoom.  You can ride in the comfort of your own home pain cave and you can run your own background music, videos or tv show or game.  With your registration, you will get an invitation to the video feed and can do the workouts at home, work or wherever you're set up.

The Coaches

Bike workouts are coached by Steph Neufeld and Elise Gaudet. Steph is a certified spin instructor and multi-time Ironman finisher. Elise is a certified triathlon coach and also has a long list of Ironman races. Both Steph and Elise have qualified for and competed in Kona so they know what it takes to get there and get the job done.

Ride times are Tuesdays 6 PM and Saturdays 830AM.

Join Us On Zoom

Zoom Workouts are run on Zoom so you will first need to add Zoom to the device you want to use to join the workout. Then, send us your email address so we can send you the link for the day's workout.  Two simple steps - it's just that easy.  The workout is the hardest part!

Bike & Trainer Requirements

You don't need anything specific or special in order to join in our workouts.  A bike, a trainer, a bottle of water or two and a towel (highly recommended) are all you need in order to get in a great workout with us.  You can ride on a Smart trainer and also engage on a training platform like Zwift as you ride with us but it's not necessary.  We take a few minutes at the beginning of every session to make sure you can join us on the route we're riding for that session so we can ride together if you choose.

Also, if you are riding on a platform that you run on a laptop or your phone, you will need to connect with us on Zoom via a separate device.  It's a good idea to test your setup before the workouts.  We are happy to help you with that a day or two before your first session or for a few minutes before the session starts.
